Flagler Animal Service Officers protect both the citizens and animals of Unincorporated Flagler County, City of Bunnell and City of Flagler Beach.
We enforce the laws established by local County/City Ordinances and State Statues. These laws safeguard both the citizens and their pets.
We are in the field seven days a week, 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
We respond to calls such as nuisance complaints, animal bites, and injured animals. We investigate animal abuse, cruelty and neglect reports.
There is an Officer on call (Emergencies Only) seven nights a week, from 5:00 p.m. to 8 a.m. Contact the Flagler Sheriff’s Department (non-emergency) line at (386) 313-4911.

What is Animal Services?
The Flagler Humane Society contracts with Flagler County, the City of Bunnell, and the City of Flagler Beach to provide a kinder, gentler animal control with an emphasis on education rather than punishment.
The highly skilled and trained Animal Control Officers assist pet owners in pet responsibility, often times providing dog houses, collars, transportation for pets, and basic veterinary care. They will perform return-to-owners in the field if the owners can be located.
They also provide emergency on call services for injured or sick animals. This includes wildlife. They respond to these calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Officers perform neglect and cruelty investigations if the situation warrants. Animals may be confiscated with permanent custody and prosecution of the abuser sought through the court system.
