The Summer Bowling Event is back at Coquina Lanes! This year you get 3 hours of bowling, shoes, pasta buffet, drink specials, and a Chinese Auction! Even if you don’t bowl, come enjoy a fun filled evening, good food and bargain at the auction. All tickets are $20…tickets are limited, so get yours soon! Christmas in July Thrift Store Sale

On Saturday July 17th, our Flagler Humane Society Thrift Store is having their Christmas in July Sales Event. This sale is for Christmas items, but it’s also a great time to pick up other bargins and do some early bird Christmas shopping. Make sure to stop by and say Hello to Peggy and the gang. You will have fun, save money, and help the animals at the Flagler Humane Society. If you are very dedicated to helping the animals, willing to make a generous time commitment as a volunteer, understand how a non-profit functions, and have a positive attitude to help FHS be the best animal shelter it can be then please download the application form and submit before August 13th, 2010. 2011 Calendar Photo Contest Begins

Each year Flagler Humane Society produces a pet calendar with photos of YOUR wonderful pets. It’s time to spiffy up Fido or Fish Face or your favorite pet of any kind and then get your camera ready for a photo shoot. Select the best shots and enter the contest to see if your beautiful or funny or maybe even ugly loved one will get selected as one of the 13 monthly pin-ups. Regardless, each and every photo entered will appear somewhere within the calendar.

This is a fund raiser to help FHS. Each entry is a contribution of $10.

Deadline is July 16, 2010. Calendars come out in the fall.

Help Wanted – Event Planner & Coordinator

Recently our person in charge of the Flagler Humane Society Events relocated out of the Palm Coast Area. We are now in desperate need of a person who can develop both small and large events to benefit the Flagler Humane Society. This is a volunteer position. If you love animals then this is for you. This lead position would seek out and plan fundraising events, develop a team of energetic volunteers to help, and then contact organizations and resources to schedule, promote and follow through to completion with each event.
